MAGA voters do not make up a majority of the state’s electorate

Agree.

So when it comes to electing Republicans in GA MAGA voters are not the problem, right?

The problem is that MTG is poison outside of her very, very red district. She’ll clean up in the rural areas but get wrecked in the major urban/suburban population centers. It’s also why she moved from Alpharetta to Rome because she had little chance of succeeding in the 6th congressional district.

If she ran in 2026, I’d pull the lever for her, but I’m only one vote.

I haven't seen people say otherwise except with regard to a) notable instances where Trump sought retribution on Kemp/Georgia and pushed people to sit on their hands or support the opponent and b) to the extent Trump pushes bad candidates on Georgia and he gets them to the general where they fail.

In general, the situation where a good candidate was not supported by MAGA voters and led to a loss hasn't happened yet, unless you count the prior Senate runoffs.

Which only shows how much stronger Kemp's brand is, that with heavy Trump opposition and some minority of MAGA voters sitting it out, he still cruised.
