So would you agree the parish did take a revenue hit then since they are no longer collecting on that tract? This would then reduce the % of taxed land in the parish thus reducing short term budgeted revenue right?

Just a real quick google search comes back with the avg property tax in CP is 0.35% the lands value.

Another quick search of land for sale in CP comes back with 1,658 acres for sale (much smaller than at least the project I’m on) for $5.4M. At 0.35%, that comes out to $18,550 a year in property tax

Yea, I think over $100k a month in sales tax easily makes up for the property tax
