I think this answer is really going to depend on what you are looking for in a restaurant.
Places like AVO and Costera are higher on my list right now, but they aren't traditional New Orleans restaurants.
Gautreaus is certainly good, but nothing on their menu seems fresh or inventive. The drinks are very traditional. The vibe is old New Orleans families and their same routine for 50 years. That works for people, but it doesn't put it at the top of the list for me.
