It's not about want to, it's about someone teaching them how to! That is what is lacking at the end of the year. That secondary is not inexperienced anymore. The LBs have been in the system for a couple of years now, should have been ready to step in. McCray has been here a long time, no reason he had to play out of position for half the year.
