As far as the actual on field product goes, the NFL blows college football away (as it should) and it isn't close. What separated college football from the NFL was all about stuff off the field. Traditions, rivalries, pageantry, homecoming, and all of the other stuff that college football is throwing away and moving on from for some reason.
College football will hemorrhage viewers in the future if they continue to go away from what made it so popular among its fanbase to begin with.

I disagree completely. I get that way of thinking because change is hard for people to accept, but the 12 team playoff is going to expand the interest of college football fans across the country ten fold. In the current 4 team playoff, by the end of every college football season, there is only 2-4 fan bases that are still engaged...now with a 12 team playoff, there could be anywhere from 12-20 fan bases that are still intently engaged by still having a chance at the playoff. I can't wait for this to be proven true by the ratings for the sport. College football is getting ready to enter its greatest era EVER!!
