Can’t just be a raise. Need to directly compare COL, then take a raise on top of that COL difference. If you don’t, you can take a 25% raise to move from LA to CA and actually take a COL reduction in pay. I’ve had a couple companies try to pull that crap. “Oh this is a huge raise for you.” No it ain’t, my mortgage would cost 2-3x what it does here, plus higher COL for everything else
