So they can stay in your house until 40 if they just help with the groceries?

Damn that’s pretty generous. And why the cutoff at 26 for them to not pay anything? Can they just lounge around on the couch until 26 then get a job at Walmart and help pay for groceries until 40? At which age you could be dead or too old to kick them out and they send you to the nursing home and take over your house?

Mine will go to college or get a job in the fall after they graduate high school. Not sure the exact timeline I will enforce after that but they can live at home as long as they’re in college if they want and for a reasonable time after they get a real job. They’re sure as shite not living in my house in their late 20’s or 30’s unless there’s some extenuating circumstances
