Fantasy Football Week 13 Discussion

It's the final week of the regular season. I am currently in 8th place. The top 6 get in. The 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and my team all have the same record. We are seperated by points. I play the guy in 6th place and the 4th and 5th place teams play each other. So basically if I win I'm in at 6th place since that would be two people ahead of me losing.
Any players to take a gamble on this week?

Man, I just looked at my league and seriously the only two players worth a damn on waivers are LeRon McClain and maybe..Maurice Morris. I am in first place and have no chance at getting either. The guys in 10, 11, 12th place have all made like 50 roster moves, totally screwing anybody at the top of the league.
To answer your question though, I can't think of anyone worthy of a pickup this week. Check the Talented Mr. Roto on ESPN for his waiver wire pickups. Those are usually pretty spot-on.

I have some dilemmas, will ya'll help me out?
My RBs (.5 pts per reception)(need 3 out of 4):
Chris Johnson at Detroit
Warrick Dunn vs Saints
Portis vs Giants
Maurice Jones-Drew at Houston
My WRs (two out of three):
Lance Moore at Tampa
Roddy White at San Diego
T.O. vs Seattle

CJ
MJD
Portis
I think you have to start Portis regardless of his matchup. They are playing at home fwiw. T.O. and Roddy without a doubt. I know Lance had a nice game last night, but Tampas pass defense is legitimate and the other two have favorable matchups. Check cnnsi.com fantasy predictions when they come out tomorrow. I use those as a barometer to gauge how my guys will do.

I am so tempted to bench Portis because of the other guys that I have and their matchups. You would sit Dunn even though he get NO at home? Portis could struggle against that stout Giants run D.
Keep in mind that this is my money league and I am 10-2 and a lock for the first round bye.

Skins will be in some goal line situations. They always throw it between the red zones and run it in from there. They will be able to move the ball at home needing to win this game if they want a shot at the wild card. Its more of a gut feeling on my part, but I have seen the Skins play a good amount this year. Not to mention Portis has been a little banged up the last few weeks and I believe he is feeling better now.

My team is loaded at RB and WR, but TE and QB are just average:
At TE, I have:
Kevin Boss
John Carlson
At QB, I have:
Donovan McNabb
Matt Cassel
At WR (start 2), I have:
Andre Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Greg Jennings
At RB (start 2), I have:
Frank Gore
Adrian Peterson
Michael Turner
I figure I need to deal a WR and/or RB for a great QB and/or TE. Who should I deal, and who should I try to get?

I'd scoop Campbell or Garcia. Probably Campbell first though.

Campbell is more of a consistant guy, whereas Garcia could have a monster game or bust. I can't believe nobody has those guys in your league already.

Warrick Dunn vs. New Orleans
LT vs. Atlanta
Steve Slaton vs. Jacksonville
Chris Johnson vs. Detroit
Need to pick 2
Pretty sure I'm going Chris Johnson as one of the choices. You can never pass up an opportunity to play a RB against Detroit.

Stewart I'd probably go with CJ and LT, just off the top of my head.

Yeah, that's what I have it as right now. LT has just been so damn disappointing this year yet it is so hard to leave him out. Slaton looks like a pretty decent play too since Green is hurt and the only other RB is Moats, who is also banged up.
Posted on 11/25/08 at 12:18 pm to Hat Tricks
Sometimes Jax can be stout against the run, and I have a feeling Slaton could wear down or get hurt further soon.

Favre vs. Denver
or
Orton @ Minnesota
Eddie Royal @ Jets
or
Desean Jackson vs. Arizona
Any thoughts?

I got my * this week, playoffs sewed up...and it's looking like all my RB's should have a decent week for once without me having to sign FA's and pray. What sucks though is I'm looking to Week 1 of the playoffs and all my studs are playing against very stingy defenses, I'm most concerned about that right now.

I have both guys and I'm going with Royal this week. I'm afraid there's too much of a rift in Philly right now, that offense just isn't gonna click although it should against Az.

Does Ted Ginn Jr. have some value this week with Camarillo out for the season?

Slaton will be a good play the rest of the year if he can stay on the field, Green just got placed on IR per Roto.
