Why can’t you get rid of pecan tree? They’re terrible in a small yard or close to a house when they get older.Limbs break easily the bigger they are.

Savannah Hollies are nice trees,not too messy.

My $.02. It’s not the species of tree. It’s the value of shade. Have a buddy that bought a house with a huge oak and a huge pecan over the pool. They were talking about cutting them down but I told them they’d be in the sun at the hottest part of the day if they cut them down. Thin them out, but it’s a toss up want to deal with the mess in the pool or deal with baking your arse off in the sun. I’ll always opt for the shade but the work wears you down over time.
