I see that the general attitude/defensiveness in both places
are the same with your response. It’s called an analogy. I guess recent transplants do not understand the fact that when I say “Texas Sized”, I’m referring to the fact that “everything is bigger in Texas.”

I was honestly paying a compliment to both suburbs by using the analogy of the “best in class/clean/well run/quality” gas stations (QT vs Buccees), using these examples to reinforce the size difference between the two suburbs.

Your response is like a UGA/tOSU/Bama football fan being offended if I referred to Mater Dei/St. John Bosco/IGM as the high school equivalent of those programs.
