The tits and vajayjay.

Probably the only reason to buy it. Campaign is lacking.

its really good but the only thing holding it back is the story mode IMO, it almost seems like the label forced them to do it instead of it being just a pure online game. i have really, really enjoyed the game thus far and have really only been playing story mode since i dont have live

Supposed to be working on new maps but as far as story idk. I wish we knew how they became infected, etc.

Just read they're working on The Winchester from Shaun of the Dead.

Another edit:

Here's a poster for a new level.

Does anyone REALLY care about the plot?

Have we not all played Resident Evil and a slew of other zombie games?

They purposely left the plot thin because it's not relevant to the experience. Also, just like in reality, when you're in a hot situation does anyone really care to discover the backstory, pick up journals, and go exploring zombie infested buildings to find out what happened? No.

I'm going to pick this up next paycheck. I have a few friends that are going to get it as well. How is the online set up? Do you just play the campaign together or are there different multiplayer modes and game types? Also how long does it takes to complete the four campaigns?

The first time I played the campaigns each one took between 45-90 minutes, it depends on how you approach the levels though.

You can play the campaigns (each has 4ish levels) co op online/offline with split screen and then versus online. Versus is possible on (I think) 2 campaigns with 4 people as the survivors and 4 people are the super/boss zombies.. Smoker, Hunter, Tank, or Boomer. Just like your standard FPS, after each round you switch sides so you're playing zombies/survivors on each of the maps.

Also the maps change each time you play so there will always be different mob, ammo and item spawn locations to keep things fresh.

i'm trying to decide whether or not i want to buy this game.

is it something to the effect of call of duty/halo?

will i get bored with it after about a week? is it basically just an online game? or could i have fun with it if my internet went down?

aside from the "super" zombies how are the actual zombies and how is the play of the game?

basically is it worth the 50 or so dollars or is it a game you can rent and keep for a week and just overplay it until you are sick and tired of it?

Not really. Your experience is completely dependent on your team. There is no lone wolf gunning down everything that moves by yourself. The objective is to make it to the end of the scenarios alive rather than kill everyone (unless you're the zombies). It's more a surival-FPS than a standard shooter.

The experience changes every time because the spawns and mobs are random, also (in vs) depending on your strategies and opponents you probably wont feel like you're rinse wash repeating the same over and over. You can play all the scenarios by yourself but it's not nearly as engaging as online. You can split screen co op with a friend and that's fun.

Not your average Resident Evil-type retard zombies. They run, they break down doors and crash through walls, they react to noise and light. If you set off a car alarm, a gaggle of zombies will rush you, it's fun.

You start out able to choose from a first tier of weapons.. shotgun/uzi and your pistol.. the primary objective is to make it to the next safe house (checkpoint). Throughout the levels there are ammo, health and weapon stashes where you can upgrade to an assault rifle, auto shotgun or sniper rifle.. pipe bombs and moltovs. The game is really built around team work and using strategy rather than run around blasting your way through anything you meet... you can do that for awhile but it's usually much harder. What you can carry is limited.. one explosive, one health kit, etc at a time so again it's all about strategy utilization to make it through the campaigns.

Depends on how much you like online play. You can easily beat the scenarios in 3-4 hours and say you're done. The freshness comes from the fact everything randomly regenerates each game and that you/opponents change up strategies so it's an ever changing experience.
