re: How hard is getting into sales?

most tragic things i've ever witnessed was the absolute highest level of commitment and passion he put into learning the job, learning the doctors, and learning the products only to be eventually politely but firmly ushered into early retirement and replaced by an army of barely literate but drop dead gorgeous communications majors from A&M and Texas.

I worked at a small office 10 years ago and the owner bought a $15-$20k copier, printer. Two women sold it to him. One was roughly 40 and hot, the other was mid 20s and a complete smoke show. They said call them if he ever needed anything.
After they made the sale, the only person he ever got to deal with in person was a sweaty 350 lb nerd. It still makes me laugh.
