I knew it would never happen but I hoped Mayweather would have taken a MMA fight vs McGregor after their fight. That weight class has plenty of guys that could whoop Mayweathers arse in the octagon.
But Derrick Lewis would not destroy any top boxer put in front of him in the octagon. I like DL, hard not to with his post fight interviews. But other than this fight, DL had been getting his arse whooped and was out of shape. His boxing is his best strength and he would look bad trying to box a top boxer in the octagon. It's not like a top boxer couldn't learn to avoid a takedown or defend a leg kick. Most of the top boxers are more athletic than him. He would be one of the worst examples of a "put him in the octagon and he'll get destroyed" argument.
