W4 P accounting question

I requested a RMD withdrawal today from my 401 account with 15% to the IRS. The administration of this 401 K plan was moved to Fidelity Investments about two years ago. It should have been a simple transaction.
The associate wanted too much information about my retirement income than I thought he needed. I do not want any help from them relating to money management.
I obtained a copy of a W4 P and it appears that a 401K withdrawal is non-periodic like one in an IRA. The form's explanation called it "on demand." Upon my understanding it would not be required.
Advice for next RMD is sought. Thanks.
