bullshite and Entergy should tie into the buried lines from Perkins Rd area

I asked this question to an Entergy rep back in 2021 after Ida came through. I asked them if the circuits can be made “double-ended” in the neighborhood, meaning it has two separate feeders that can be switched. I was informed that the primary voltages are different, meaning all the transformers in the neighborhood would need to be changed on the old circuit. The two good circuits in the neighborhood are fed from the substation behind the mall movie theater. The older circuit is fed from either the substation at Pecue and the railroad tracks or the substation by Lauberge, depending on which switch they have closed.

Even at night that shouldn’t take more than 4 to 6 hours to fix with several trucks, it damn sure shouldn’t take 24 hours.

I’ve found that with Oak Hills, the amount of homes without power is low enough to where it’s not a high priority. Entergy will focus efforts on getting as many people restored as quickly as it can. So that just makes us the last ones on the list.

Power was restored at 1:48am last night. Haven’t had a chance to drive by the tree and see what the repair looks like but if they have to set a new pole they may have turned it on for now until they can do that. Will have to go out there and see.
