Growing up, our next door neighbor had two daughters. I was 8 or 9 years old. The younger daughter had graduated HS a few weeks earlier and her parents went of vacation to Florida and she didn't want to go so they were fine with it, but just asked her to have her best friend come stay with her.
During the time me and my dad were in the front yard and we heard a noise that sounded like someone slamming the hood of a car shut. We looked to see where it came from and then forgot about it. About a min later the best friend comes out in full panic, crying, breaking down yelling "she shoot herself". I followed my dad to their house where I saw her body slumped over with blood pouring from her head. My dad took off to tell my mom to call 911. She was still breathing, but the bullet went through her head. They put her on a machine long enough for her parents to drive back from Florida to give them the okay to take her off the machine. As soon as they took her off, she died. That whole experience was wild and stayed with me for a long time.
There is some more to the story as to why she did it, actually they don't really know.. but year
