3 years works, a commitment should mean something. Baseball makes you stay three years.

College student can transfer to another school without any repercussions, outside of maybe a few classes not carrying over, why does it have to be different just because a student wants to play sports?

Also, say a player commits to play a sport under a specific coach at a specific university, that coach leaves for a variety of reasons, why should the player be "stuck" at the school if the coach/school couldn't keep their commitment to player?
