You are the father...You have rights as well. Unless you signed away your parental rights, she can't just take your son.
You have to ask yourself what type of custody situation you want, really, and then go from there.

We agreed I pay no alimony or child support but she gets 100% custody and that we would work out visitation between ourselves outside of the court. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any of that in writing and took her by her word
