Texans are owned by a great Texas Baw family that saw a need in areas where there were no Buc-cees and filled a void. They are mostly in smaller towns which have seen tremendous growth due to the Eagle Ford. They have also opened up Steak Houses in some of the same towns, 5D Steakhouse, great steaks btw. They are fisherman so they expanded to a couple towns along the coast like Port Aransas and Port OConner with establishments. The owner of Buc-cees, “Beaver” Aplin is usually pretty quick to jump on copy cats if he feels they cross the line into infringement of his brand, I wouldn't doubt if there hasn't been agreement worked out between them and their markets.
