lets remember one thing. We were supposed to have a seasoned QB leading this team to a possible NC, but his dumb arse couldn't stay out of trouble.

IMO we would have won at least two of the four games we lost this year if RP could have realized the future he had if he cleaned his act up.

Yes, we don't have as good of a defense as we thought we should have had. Yes, a co-defensive coordinators are not working out too well. And yes, our Freshman QB is not playing like a seasoned vet.

So thank you RP for making an entire fan base blame everyone and everybody for your dumb, selfish, "I'm untouchable" attitude that screwed this year up for most LSU fans.

Trust me, I still hope we hire a new Defensive Coordinator. I hope our defensive players get a little better in the offseason along with whoever will be our starting QB next year, but I still say we could overlook some of these problems if RP would have just clean up his act after a couple, three, four chances he was given.

To think I was so excited when he told Texas he decided he was coming to LSU (which made Colt McCoy go to Texas instead of considering LSU).

I thought McCoy ever considering LSU was a myth.

whose to blame for the fact that we didn't have a qb waiting that could play? face the facts that good ole les dropped the ball.

Somebody pointed out something very basic in another thread. That good offense wins games, but good defense wins championships. It isn't just the QB who caused LSU's losses this year. Solid defenses could make up for a multitude of sins. Even with QB mistakes and pick-6s flying, LSU scored enough in most games to win, if the defenses had held (which they didn't).

Yes, the QB situation has been a problem but put that aside, it's time to focus on the D and how terrible they are. We could have survived if it were not for the D.

What was he supopsed to do? IMO, Les had the QB thing worked out well.

RP for 2 years, then Lee steps in as RSJR, Jefferson redshirts, etc.

Most teams don't have a QB waiting to play that can replicate what their starter can do.

You think UGA has someone that can do what Stafford does?

Just a thought about offense and defense. If our offense was controlling the ball and the clock with time of possession drives utilizing the run and pass our defense wouldn't have had to have faced so many opposing teams drives. Not singling out the Offense alone, but this is a fact we have to consider.

One of the reasons that we beat Florida last year, was because they simply didn't have the ball on offense enough to beat us down like this year. If you give a strong SEC team enough chances and enough time they will all beat you.

+1

If we are leading, the defense can pin theirs ears back to blitz when the other team is trying to throw the ball to catch up. Imagine a great QB with this offensive line, WR's, and RB's to work with.

Well, Les should have had more than what he had (Lee and Hatch) neither of which are top calibre college QBs). I don't blame Urban Meyer for Les' recruiting failures. The truth is that Saban's recruits are gone and Miles has replaced them with inferior talent that is poorly coached.
