What chemical is the guaranteed way to get Bermuda the easiest. I have used MSMA years ago but Celsius was more of an expensive way to get rid of Virginia button weed. How long is the bottle of Celsius good for. Been having this bottle for 10 years. Will be starting to spray tomorrow but not sure which route to go to get rid of the wide range of weeds I have mixed with Bermuda that has started to come in. This is a new home build and will be doing landscaping next year and want to do this first.

MSMA is the absolute goat. Will nuke everything besides your Bermuda.

It’s borderline legal in some areas though.

Again as mentioned msma is no longer labeled for use for residential property. With that said a combination of celsius + sedgehammer will legally take care of the majority of weeds outside of dallisgrass.

I saw in another post the op said he has as a right of way taking up his whole yard, right. He’s good to go with MSMA...

Or he can sell a square or two of sod.

That’s the cocktail I utilize. Every time I mix up 4 gallons in my backpack sprayer I have to resist adding more. Not very many granules for the weed killing it does. Celsius and Certainty has done good for me too.

What is the ratio you use of each in your 4 gallon sprayer? What type of grass do you have?

Is anyone spraying weeds with these chemicals in this heat right now? I'm worried about burning the yard up.

On Celsius WG I did .450 on the measuring cap that it came with. I think that’s 1 tablespoon and a teaspoon. On the Sledgehammer I did 1 scoop .9 g per gallon of the measuring device that came with it. Celsius has no temperature restrictions when I read the directions. Far as grass goes I have Tifway 419 out front, centipede on one of the sides, and Zoysia in the back. I sprayed it 3 days ago and the weeds are dying but the grass is fine. I’m guessing it was around 90 degrees when I sprayed.
