I use weed killer to spray a rear ditch on my property. I use a mixture of high yield killz all and 24D. The problem I have is that I have to spray this every month. Is there any pre-emergent that I can add to my mix? Or should I be using some other type of weed killer? It’s mainly Johnson grass.

Try RM43 total vegetation control, or eraser max, both are glyphosate plus imazapyr which claims it will control for up to a year, it won’t, but should get a few months, just do not spray it on or near any hard wood tree that you don’t want dead

If it’s mainly Johnson grass just use roundup. 24D is for broad leaf plants

I’ve utilized a product called Ortho GroundClear and it did good for that kind of application. That Roundup ProMax will also kill the hell out of weeds.

What about this wrinkle, for next year RoundUp (Glyphosate) for residential use is being phased out.

I noticed that my local Walmart had none in stock except for a few bottles of the premixed stuff. I usually get the concentrate. Since the other crap Walmart sells doesn’t kill as well as RoundUp for grass control in dry ditches. My neighbor almost has a forest in his ditch.

I guess, I may need to stock up on some 2-4D at Tractor supply, but in Louisiana, you cannot buy 2-4D between certain days in certain parishes.
