Can anyone recommend a shop or individual in or near Scott to install to hummingbird helix units, a terrova trolling motor, and swap my lead acid batteries with the lithium batteries that I just received? Will to drive 45 minutes to an hour for quality work. Thanks in advance.

I had dealings with Mike's Marine Service in Broussard when I bought my boat a few years back.

Master Marine on Johnston St behind Doug Ashy. It is a one- or two-man operation, but very good and affordable. He has been around for 20-30 years. He doesn't answer the phone often, so I just drive by and talk to him in person before I bring him my boat. He repaired my steering leak and my jack plate for what I thought was pretty cheap. I have been happy with his work and bring him my bay boat anytime I have an issue I can't fix myself.

he's done quite a bit for me in the past. good work. he probably won't make a great first impression, and as previously stated, bad about answering phone, etc. but he's always done good affordable work. once he called me to let me know my boat was ready. I had already picked it up 2 weeks before when he called and told me it was ready

I’d use Superior Trolling Motors for that job if you don’t want to take it on yourself.
