Couldn't you get the dealer to fix the bracelet up however you want it? I took a Superocean once and had the polished bracelet brushed. I liked the look of it better.

I have heard tale of some boutiques agreeing to switch bracelets - that would surprise me, if so, but maybe worth asking. I'm kinda keeping my eyes open for offerings of used ones from trusted sellers to knock the depreciation off a tad, so that would obviate the dealer change option. Also thought about just sending the bracelet to Rolliworks or somewhere like that that is know for bracelet work and having the links brushed by someone that can match the graining.

I think I've locked in on the Sapphire version. PCLs be damned! Just go with it and see how I feel about it. Hell, I've traded plenty of watches, so if it ain't perfect there's always that option.

I'm excited about the METAS certification on this watch and the fact that this version hacks which has been a sticking point on this watch for me in the past. Everyone has their own idiosyncracies and being annoyed by non-hacking movements is certainly one of mine.

Hacking was your sticking point? I've actually never heard of that being someone's "thing" before. We've all got one but that one is new for me.
