And not just so many belts, but also so many boxing organizations with their own version of champions. There's the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, NABF

Originally there were 8 divisions in boxing, now there's 18 divisions with many of them just 3-4 lbs. difference in weight.


Then you have 4 major organizations, each with their own champions in the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF. Some champions own belts from multiple divisions as the fight to become the undisputed champion, but not many achieve that due to the politics involved and guys wanting to not lose that all important "O" in the loss column. Cherry picking more or less.
