and the fact that no one has stepped up to lead this team is another contributor to our horrible season.

i think this is the most overrated aspect of why our team sucks
it's really hard to have leadership on D when nobody knows what's going on

normally the qb leads your team. We have no qb that has gained the respect of the team. Even though J.J. put his head down and gained some tough yards late. i don't see any real leaders on O, beside lafell. He is only a receiver he needs someone to get him the ball.

please keep in mind that our last two qbs were at least 24 years old when they won the NC's
maturity, leadership and of course talent, but keep in mind the youth.
Bottom line.........perrilloux was in line to replace the outgoing Flynn, then lee/hatch/jefferson with shepard coming in behind them to maybe start two years in.
We all know what happened with RP.....and I agree with Miles' decision 100%. Facts are facts and that is reality.

that is what being a leader entails
mainly in the secondary

That's the entire point. Usually the guys with leadership are the ones that DO know what's going on and make everybody around them A LOT better, even if they're not exactly speedy athletic specimens themselves. With Steltz and Sanders back there, this defense doesn't look anything like it did this year........

why? miles is the one who rested the state of the program on a thug. Why do people forget that? Saban wasn't recruiting him for a reason.

how is this overrated? When the younger guys are held accountable for their mistakes by the senior leaders, they are going to be more motivated to get their act together. As things are now, our seniors obviously don't give a shite what happens, they got rolled up at home in their last game at Tiger stadium by a lower tier SEC school. Hester, Dorsey, Steltz never quit on us, our seniors this year did.
