Les needs to do the honorable thing and resign for the way he handled the QB situation this year.
OMG
No dude, the QB issue is what it is- they are ALL inexperienced. The defense did not keep us in the games vs. UF, UGAly and Ole Piss. We need changes on defense.
Les will get that done.

well the original poster is going to bring up how he called lee being garbage, which isn't fully true
lee has been mediocre. he's played well when he's allowed to just sling it, but miles doesn't want to do that

before the season, you expected a vastly inferior ole miss team with an inexperienced, new starter learning a new offense to beat LSU? yeah ok
That was my prediction.

Well, the first 2 drives yesterday were terrible. I thought we would try and build on last week's fourth quarter. We didn't try that until drives 3 and 4, and by that time Ole Piss had us down thanks to our wonderful defense.
Lee has been good sometimes, but not good most of the time.

why AU or Ole Miss? there is no logical reason to expect losses to them
maybe AU b/c it was on the road, but they were going to be garbage this year. no talent
ole miss was at home, and they had the same problems LSU had with less talent across the board

AU because it was an away game. I had no reason to think they were going to be this terrible, though.
Ole Miss because Nutt has been able to beat us with mediocre teams on several occasions, and with a worse QB than Snead. Was more of a gut feeling.
For the record, I thought we'd beat Bama.

well when you have:
1. an OC who is a spread OC having to run i-form up the gut running plays over and over, making our offense very easy to read and stop, while taking him out of his rhythm; and
2. a QB who has performed his best out of a spread, no-huddle look have to sit and get cold while he's put in 3rd and long situations, taking him out of rhythm:
your offense will suck

Its not the 4 losses its the way we have been playing all season. Troy was a W but that was fricking pathetic. We are being outcoached and I am sick and tired of Miles stupid arse comments after the game. He needs to take a Mass Comm class with incoming freshman so he can learn how to formulate a sentence.

I was referring to the actual play-calling. It was similar to how we called the first half against Troy. It was ultra-conservative meant to keep Lee out of trouble. I expected us to start throwing the ball much sooner yesterday. Then, we did start throwing the ball in drives 3 and 4, we abandoned the run game totally and got down by even more thanks to the defense.

well then i misunderstood somewhat, and i agree
our offense has become a disaster, and i put it on miles. he's the i-form guy. crowton is a spread guy

Last year there was a happy medium between us running the ball out of the I and also running some spread. We had Flynn and Perrilloux. Lee is just not a spread QB at all. We have gone from being a scary good offense last year that you knew would put up points to one that stuggled yesterday simply to get into FG range, and that is a shame.

i disagree
he's looked good from the spread

I expected 4 losses this year. When Les kicked RP off the team, there was a thread asking how many losses we should expect this year, to which I replied "4"
How does kicking off a QB explain the piss pour defense? The RP excuse is wearing a little thin. Complaining about DBs not knowing where to line up or who to cover in week 10 is not an over-reaction. I tink most rational people can understand the offense being inconsistent due to the lack of experience at QB. Getting blown out at home by Ole Miss and giving up 31 points to Troy is inexcusable with the talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Agreed. I thought 8-4 was realistic, with losses at Auburn, UF, to UGA, and ?. Turned out the teams were different but if we can pull it out against Ark. the outcome is as good as it could be expected with RP at Jax State, which I still think was the right move on Mile's part.
I think this is his best year of coaching so far, but that the DC situation needs changing.

Yes, only when he gets outside of the pocket and can make a decision. Otherwise, if he sits in the pocket, it's pick time. Again, like I said earlier, Lee has looked good sometimes, but bad most of the time. Doesn't matter right now anyway since he probably won't play until at least the bowl game.

This thread is not meant to say "don't criticize our team or it's coaches".

See the "brand new corners" comment.
They were "brand new" 10 games ago. Not knowing where to line up or who to cover or how to play man coverage might be okay in September. It is now November and the same mistakes are being made. If the defense was playing up to its talent level, I think you see about one-tenth of the bitching currently taking place.
If the DCs are not replaced then the current "over-reaction" will be mild in comparison.
