It's not like people are going to stop playing games. They can't make whatever bad decisions they want and enough people out there are whales/shills so they'll still shovel over their money.

Gamers are naturally impatient people as well, so while you know a better deal might be months away - can you really wait that long to add another game to your backlog?

I don't mind that they've announced DLC characters that otherwise wouldn't be in the game (and who is asking for Takeda?), but Quan Chi and Ermac should be part of the main roster.

This article states that Cassie, Kung Jin, Jacqui Briggs, and Takeda won't be part of the main storyline.

Apparently Khameleon, Ferra, Johnny Cage, Mavado, and Tremor were also confirmed as Kameo characters at SDCC.

Motaro and Reiko also confirmed, although not yet clear if as main roster characters, as kameos, or just as part of the story.
