Lee Injury

I am in the band, and I was literally five feet away from the trainer's table where Lee was initially examined. We were about to take the field for halftime. It is definitely an ankle injury. The doc pulled his shoe off and felt around. When the shoe came off, Lee yelped in pain, and he was about to cry. When Jefferson threw the td pass, he cheered. He is a team guy! The doc ask Lee if he could put any weight on it. He stood up and almost fell over. He was in obvious pain. He was helped off to the locker room by the trainer. I don't think it is a break but I am assuming that from the doc feeling it. X-rays may prove otherwise.

I really feel like he could be great, I see alot of spark there, just not Fire yet. That being said I think Lee won't be back till next year.
With Time:
Lee = Flynn
JJ = JR
Shepard = RP without the trouble.

Call me crazy but I think Lee would have won this game if he had stayed in.

You're crazy. LSU couldn't run the ball plain and simple. He wasn't going to win the game when we knew he was going to throw the ball.

I'm Crazy too
I think Lee was just getting in rythem, But the D was a another story
No way can you win if the Defense keeps letting the clock run.

Hey Wascally Webel - no one cares what your opinion is. You won - now go home.

D often feeds of offense. When the offense is doing poorly - the defense will do poorly.

He was not getting in rythem He was 4 of 12 with a pick, Including that lucky arse completion on the play he got injured on. Lee might have made the game closer, but LSU was not going to win. 29 carries for 37 yards. 20 were on one Jordan Jefferson scramble.
that is 19 yards on the other 28 carries. Not going to win you any football game, no matter who your QB is. Unless you have the Baltimore Raven Defense from the early millineum.

Maybe against Troy and Auburn but not against any good team, especially without any running game.

Lee was not bringing us back! Period! He was well on his way to another bad performance in which all the Lee supporters would have made more excuses for the kid.
At what point will you all see reality? The only thing y'all say is that "he will be a good 1 in the future", yet what has he shown you to make you believe this? He may very well turn out to be the best QB here in a long time, but what would give you this impression? He has played 1 GOOD half of 1 game against a team that has proven to be over-rated as the season moved on.
To make matters worse, JL supporters continually try to find fault with JJ's play just so 1) they can be right about who is more ready and 2) they would hate to see Miles be wrong about an evaluation of talent. You NEVER really know what a player will bring to the table in a real game just by watching him in practice. JL apparently looks outstanding practice but leaves a lot to be desired in actual games.
I hope JL develops into what most fans and Miles thinks he can because if not, this season may repeat itself next year. I don't really go off of gut feelings. I like to evaluate players by what they are actually doing, not what my gut tells me they can do.
JJ was a breath of fresh air and was GREATLY improved from the Troy game. Imagine if Miles and his staff would have devoted more time to this kid. Also on a side note, Hatch is not athletically better than JL or JJ but HE GAVE THIS TEAM THE BEST CHANCE OF WINNING. He played with poise, had a nice short passing game, and ran the ball and made plays when they broke down. Too bad he got hurt in the AU game and Miles fell in love with Lee after 1 good half of football. If JL truly gave us the best chance of winning, why did hatch start over him? They got starry-eyed with the 2nd half performance and have been waiting on the kid to reproduce that performance. That was the undoing of this season.
JL is a poor decision maker and it has really put this team in a bind at times. JR had a cannon and got away with making bad decisions in college. His decision making skills never improved and he is paying dearly for it in the pro's. Hatch is by far a better game manager than JL. JL's arm is what really keeps this team in trouble. He just needs to calm down and stop feeling as if he needs to make tough throws to get everyone off his back. If it's not there, run it or throw it away. yeah he is a RS frosh but I just can't see how he has not shown ANY improvement at this point.

That has to be the dumbest idea ever posted. Championships are won by defense. Remember the turnovers by Mauck in the 2003 Championship. The defense still played well. If we had the defense that we have had from 2003-2007 we would have only one loss this season.
