I did see the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. The whole family watched it every Sunday night. (Was I the only one who found Topio Gigio incredibly annoying?) But back to the Beatles. My oldest brother and my older sister were completely enamored, therefore I was, too.
I seem to also remember Elvis on Ed Sullivan, but I checked the dates for when he was on and I would’ve been too young to have a memory of it. But my memory is that I was puzzled by the reaction of the screaming girls in the studio audience and kept asking my mom what he was doing to get them to scream like that, and she just smiled and didn’t answer.

Yep, from recollection I got to stay up late because it was past my bed time. Not sure how late, but Ed Sullivan was on tape delay in B'ham before there were 3 full time CBS, NBC, and ABC affiliates.
