You do know how legends work, right?
There are tons of people much older than me that did great things I know about because of how great/legendary they were.
You’re acting like just because they were young when it happened that stories wouldn’t be remembered and told, pictures wouldn’t be everywhere, they wouldn’t have learned about it in flight school (or countless other places), etc.
