There was actually no A/C in the car, it was just a fan. I had to start that bastard with carb fluid in the last year and a half. Surprisingly, as long as I drove fast, it wasn't bad, heat wise.

I did have a friend drive down from Montana in a Karman Gia with no AC, and it was his daily for years. If it wasn't for that dude, I would have felt like a pimp listening to Steelers Wheel in a car none of the freshman chicks had ever seen.

I drove from BR to Dallas in the middle of July once when moving with the gf, and the AC went out about 3 hours outside of Dallas

It was one of the most brutal 3 hours of my life. We were absolutely dripping. We’d pull over at gas stations every 30 minutes or so and jsut open the freezer and get in it. Towards the end I was going 100 mph, givin zero fvcks if I got a ticket, had to get out of that car

Growing up in the 50's my dad never had a car with A/C and the running joke was if you wanted to be cool in the summertime he'd say:

"We'll soon have 4 x 60" which meant roll down all 4 windows and he'd do 60 down the road.
