That’s really the problem. Some want to compare PM’s success (or lack thereof) to Skip Bertman’s success and that’s not really fair. The landscape of the sport are not comparable. PM had 3 trips to Omaha and 1 championship. That’s a whole hell of a lot more than most coaches will EVER see in their careers.

ETA: In the end, it really was time for PM to retire, but he was a great coach.
