PM was a great coach. He had his quirks (I never liked his baserunning philosophy or handling of the pitching staff), but he kept us in the conversation for a long time.
I think he loves the school and the program, and maybe waited a little too long to let go when he didn't have as much heart in it anymore.
He should be celebrated.
