He’s pitching tomorrow and likely starting.

Just hope he’s as close to 100% as physically possible and doesn’t get hurt during or after the fact.

That’s all there is to it.

I want to see him pitch and I want the team to win the championship. But I honestly believe letting him pitch is coaching malpractice and will prevent future high level prospects from coming to LSU

From your keyboard to God's ears. I hope he can start and, if he does, I think he'll Bob Gibson out and go as deep in the game as he effectively can.

Also, are there actual examples of pitchers who "threw their arm out" by short-hopping the rotation? Seems if you're going to injure yourself to the point you need TJ or whatever, well, that could happen as easily on pitch 1 as pitch 101.

If I were Coach Jay I would meet with Paul, his parents (or at least his father) and Coach Wes, honestly lay out the risk/reward of making either decision, and then leave the room and let the family decide, then accept the decision at face value either way.
