No.
SPY is an S&P index ETF. VTSAX is a total market index fund. These two will perform nearly identical over the same period.

vtsax need $3500 to start & can put it on auto pilot, monthly auto buy...
vti just need enough to buy a share, monthly auto buy is not possible...
