You're correct but you also cherry picked around all the highly ranked recruits that contributed. Every championship team has 3 stars and unexpect4d contributors. They also have a fair amount of blue chips. That team ended up with like 30 draftees. Sisters of the poor I tell you.
Until we prove we can start winning a good share of the "national" recruitments and stand toe to toe(or the willingness) with the rich in NIL this class and last years will be the norm. Last year got glossed over with the only "win" in one of those being constantly thrown down our throat as evidence we are playing ball. The Womack get. Guess batting near the Mendoza line is acceptable now.

Joe Burrow, CEH, JJ, Jamar Chase, Tmoss, Patrick Queen, Kary Vincent, Damien Lewis: none were 5 stars... so basically we won the NC with these 3 & 4 stars. Our best players that year.
When will people begin to realize this. Coach them up & development can equal another teams 10-14 5* players.

In '07, Matt Flynn, Jacob Hester, Craig Steltz, Brett Helms, Herman Johnson, Ali Highsmith, Chevis Jackson, Jonathan Zenon, Tyson Jackson, Kirston Pittman... I could go on and on, all 3 & 4* players. If a player develops, he can equal a team full of 5 stars.
