re: Math and reading scores for 13-year-olds in the U.S. have hit the lowest levels in decades

Parents are largely uninvolved in their child’s education. The amount of times I get yelled at that “I didn’t know they were failing” when I post multiple grades with detailed comments and feedback to improve their grades every week.
