We get our fair share of cold weather, but it's not like we're Wyoming or Montana. But 35 deg here at 35% humidity is not the same as 35 deg with high humidity/rain on the east coast. Some of the most bone chilling cold I've ever experienced was 38 deg and raining in the Mtns of NC. I've worn shirt sleeves in 35 deg weather here.

For comparison here is the January 2023 weather for Salt Lake City and Baton Rouge
