Yeah you don’t trade your best player UNLESS because of health issues he never plays. You can’t just forget the fact that being the best player on the team is useless if you can’t be on the court. The dude is constantly injured, he hasn’t put back to back seasons of playing more than 30 games in a season together and you’re sitting here talking about path to a title. Lol this guy hasn’t even led us to the playoffs because hes never available. He played what 25 games last year at an elite level and you’re ready to talk about potential MVPs and path to a title. Due to the past 4 years, has it occurred to you that this dude may never be fully healthy and have constant injuries? Considering his injury history- why is there this automatic assumption that he obviously will be like Embiid? What if he never gets it- and the injuries, immaturity issues, conditioning- maybe this is who he is.

…and what if he does get it? And he’s just had some seriously shitty bad luck with injuries these first few years and he gets it together with the next team he’s on?

We are running with Zion and gonna live and die by his health. He is good enough to lead this team to the championship and I would be very surprised if he is traded before year 3 into his new contract, by which time if nothing has changed, we will have tried and tried again and got no where…and people will be fine with it as we’ll have given it a good chance to work.
