We did Ireland last year with our kids. My wife and I have traveled internationally many times, but this was the first with kids.

It was the best vacation we've ever done as a family. Ireland had been on my radar for a while, and it worked out great for the kids. Relatively short flights, and no language barrier. Our kids had a great time and the people were very welcoming and friendly. Other than the flights being a little high, once we got there everything else was cheap/comparable to prices at home.

I wouldn’t think of going to Asia with small kids and especially so if it was a shorter trip. Sounds like a nightmare.

I’d be looking at the shortest flights paths possible with a direct flight if at all possible.
