Will be fascinating to see Clarke in a statewide race against Tammy Baldwin - especially if he campaigns hard in metro Milwaukee.
He might get blown out but I'd still like to see how it plays out

I think the Democrats would very much prefer to run against Clarke as compared to Gallagher. Gallagher would have a much better shot in the general. Tiffany would be even weaker.

They need to pick the weakest candidate. It will be a Trump endorsed candidate, but it doesn’t matter because the Dems will win WI.

Wisconsin is, perhaps, the very most purple state. Baldwin does have the advantage of the incumbency but a strong candidate against her stands a good chance. Nominating Clarke would be like giving up.

That’s what they’ll do because Trump will endorse him because he’s said something nice about Trump. Just because Trump likes someone because they kissed his arse doesn’t mean they should be the nominee. Winning the Senate and keeping the House maybe the best the GOP can do.
