OK, so here are my photos from my one night last summer:
Here was the daytime view from my room:
And the nighttime view:
Here's the fountain with the hotel in the background, at sunset:
In between the Flamingo and the Linq, there's this fun shopping area:
As others have said, the Flamingo's main adult pool is pretty nice. They have a separate one for families with kids.
The rooms are kinda tacky, but at least they are a normal size (I stayed a night at the Linq, and it's a new hotel, but the rooms are small).
It's not luxury. It's definitely lower tier. But the location is great.

The Linq is actually a very old hotel. It was the Imperial Palace in the 80s and maybe even the 70s. It was something else before that. It's remodeled, but they don't just gut them and rebuild rooms. I'm sure those rooms are the size from 1960 something.
