whatcha think? another thing on this mock... I hope we don't have to deal with Harvin twice a year.

if he can play OLB i dont haved a problem with it.

yeah on paper a Maualuga-Vilma-Fujita linebacker corps looks fairly enticing.

i think fujita is a good LB and vilma is a great LB, and then theres that shithead shanle
Posted on 11/19/08 at 12:46 pm to Papa Purple and Gold
Is he a MLB at USC? Is Cushing an OLB? That is our biggest need in the LB corps to get rid of shanle. We still need a safety, LT, and maybe a RB

absolutely, although Brandon Spikes is just as good if not better than Rey Maualuga in my opinion

If we had a 2nd round draft pick we could have wasted it on a safety who sucks like Bullocks or Harper

Taylor Mays!!!!!

i dont think harper sucks fwiw. i think he's a good SS, his coverage has improved but is still not where it needs to be. he's one of the best open field tacklers the saints have. i'd say he and vilma are the two best we have.

We need that wildness at linebacker...Fujita is a smart LB...Vilma is super talented and Maualuga can bring the pain...he would fit in nice...but I think if we can get away with a top LT that would be the route. On that draft looks like top ones would go before us(I vote for Oher).

i just think our offense does not need to be touched right now, we can score at ease, we just need to stop the scoring and get turnovers. FS OLB are my biggest concerns and depending on whether or not Mckenzie can come back you might throw CB on that list also

I'd rank our defense as follows in terms of best to worst... This was our ideal starting 11
1. Vilma
2. McKenzie
3. Gay
4. Grant
5. Smith
6. Fujita
7. Ellis
8. Harper
9. Young
10. Shanle
11. KK/Bullocks
I'd rank our cornerbacks as follows...
1. McKenzie
2. Gay
3. David
4. Porter (should pass David next year)
5. Young (sucks)
6. Glenn (good skills but too old)
1. Vilma
2. McKenzie
3. Gay
4. Grant
5. Smith
6. Fujita
7. Ellis
8. Harper
9. Young
10. Shanle
11. KK/Bullocks
I'd rank our cornerbacks as follows...
1. McKenzie
2. Gay
3. David
4. Porter (should pass David next year)
5. Young (sucks)
6. Glenn (good skills but too old)

i wouldnt put gay that high, he has struggled at times in coverage but he did play great sunday

quote:He wouldn't be that high on any other team...but look at the comepetition he has to work with. Porter showed signs of being an easy #2 before he got hurt.
i wouldnt put gay that high

right i agree, ideally it should be MM TP then RG. i would also put smith above grant, grant had more sacks put smith has had more pressure.

i'd rather...
Aaron Curry
Ht/Wt: 6-3/247 lbs
Position:OLB
Drafted From:Wake Forest
Class:Senior
dude is a beast just watching him play reminds me of Patrick Willis at Ole Miss. He is a Stud.

anyone notice they have Beanie only going one spot higher? he could be a DM replacement.

That mock draft seems way off in terms of the order the players are picked.

If we pick in the 10th slot then we have a painful holiday season to look forward to this year.
