Ok. Might be interesting.
Like it or not, a/the vaccine was the only ticket back in the direction of “normalcy.” I.e. where that large portion of the country who, again like it or not, was frightened of what they were being told by the media about the virus. They weren’t coming out of their homes anytime soon *most importantly to begin participating in the economy again* unless and until a vaccine was available.
So then Trump concludes that, given the above unavoidable circumstances, that the quicker the vaccine, the quicker the march back to full participation in the economy. Long story short, Trump coordinated an effort that outperformed all expectations, for which he was rightfully prideful and triumphant. And it wasn’t merely he who lauded the expedient effort, there was widespread commendation from all directions other than, of course, the bitter enemies in media and on left.
Fast forward to the “medals”……..the medal was not given to Fauci for anything he did exclusively. He received an award for his specific participation in Project Warp Speed, along with every other Joe Blow who played an above nominal role in the project. Had there been no implications to Trump snubbing Fauci out of pure spite, according to you all’s perception of Trump he would’ve happily and spitefully done so. But the assured reception of such a move as childish and juvenile and the resulting drama was simply not worth it.
So that’s that. Fauci got a participation trophy along with a bunch of other people exclusively for their hand in Trump’s Warp Speed triumph.

No.
This argument works for only those that bought into all the hype and played right into the Left's hands.

He can’t help himself. He didn’t need to give a fricking medal to anyone. Giving out medals was just a way to bring more acclaim to himself. That’s all that was about.

quote:Got it. So trump allowed the media and Faucci to shut down our country completely and cripple our economy then gave them participation trophies for that "vaccine" that doesn't stop transmission or illnesse.

The same illness that was funded by gain of function research by Dr. Faucci under trumps command?
But he had to do it because of perception, yet Georgia and Florida were able to open up?
It's not just that he was wrong?

Thank you for the post. I understand some people don't like Trump, that's fine. We are all different and have different idea's and sensitivities, but to those on here that play Sunday morning quarterback about decisions Trump made regarding Covid is really really unfair.
