Also, Think about it this way. Arkansas doesn't have inspection stickers, but their state police can pull you over for a "vehicle inspection" No probable cause needed for a traffic stop. Louisiana isn't supposed to be able to do that.

Mississippi doesn’t require them anymore, I go there a lot and have never been pulled over for a “vehicle inspection.” Louisiana inspection stickers are a money racket and will never go away because our politicians and sleazy garage owners are in on it together. $18 for a BS 5 minute inspection
