What is there to do in metro Birmingham, Alabama? I looked up the Viator.com travel site and the options were lacking. There's a Civil Rights Museum, but we have that in Atlanta. Is the zoo worth a shite? Shopping malls are dead zones now and past their the glory years of the early 2000's and prior.

I know they might not be playing, but it’s still worth it to me. There are many LSU fans who booked trips to Omaha already. And no, everyone’s situation is different, so I don’t pretend to have arbitrary “requirements” for any fan.
But I find your original response to be petty and shallow toward another fan who loves LSU athletics.

I’m not sure, I wasn’t impressed the last couple times I was there. But I’m not going for a tour of Birmingham.

I’ve been told the old wealth of Birmingham has fled south to Shelby County because of the stupidity of Birmingham leadership, but I’m not sure. Makes sense though.

Last year we watched a USFL game, watched the SWAC championship game at Regions Field... and right across from Regions is Good People Brewing (awesome place).
Bham has a few nice breweries

I'm just surprised that somebody who starts multiple threads finding anything to bitch about would be all that interested in spending time and money to go watch LSU play.
