ok, but who are you going to bring in to right the ship?

According to the AYS guy: Multiple SEC assistants, JUCO HCs, and Southland HCs are in the mix.

I think they're pissing in the wind for an SEC assistant. The money has gotten so far out of hand that assistants can wait until a power conference job opens up.

I don't know that there are any HCs in the Southland that are both better than Riser but also see SLU as an upgrade to where they are.

SLU should be the best team in the Southland, period. Proximity to BR/NO/ Northshore for talent and not far from about half of the MS JuCos. They should be able to recruit a lot of the kids in the area that don't get SEC/Tulane/USM offers.

I've heard the coach at meridian JC? Not sure how solid that is, but it came from someone that is close to the program.

Originally from Madison, Miss., he was a two-sport star in football and baseball at Madison Central HS. Was part of a football state championship as a quarterback and a baseball state championship as a shortstop. Sudduth was a two time All-State selection at shortstop.

He began his coaching career as a student assistant after completing his collegiate playing career at Southeastern Louisiana under Jay Artigues, where he was a two-year starter as an infielder in 2006-07. As a senior, Sudduth was voted “Teammate of the Year” by his peers. Prior to his time in Hammond, Sudduth was a middle infielder for two years at MCC under Mike Federico, the current Louisiana-Monroe head coach and Chad Caillet the current top assistant at South Carolina.

Sudduth earned his degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana and also holds an MBA from Delta State. He and his wife, Miranda, are the parents of one son, Walker.
