quote:At 14, what do you expect to get? At least Lively could fill a role that the team needs an do so at a reasonable salary. Will we find a dead eye shooter at 14 that gets playing time? Highly doubt Dick makes it to 14. Maybe Hawkins makes it there and you take a chance on him that he will be a prolific 3 point shooter?
So far for in the playoffs, The team with the higher 3-point % has gone 61-15.
But let’s draft a big who isn’t known to shoot and really didn’t do a ton at Duke.

It really depends on how much they value these bigs who hasn't shown stretch ability. Some of them are going to be 1 dimensional. The team may feel like they can get that in free agency especially if they want a big for depth.
As far as a shooter goes, the obvious choice is Hawkins. He's got the best shooting package we've seen in years. Some people don't love him because he's already polished at what he does and doesn't have the sexy upside.
I can imagine CJ, Hawkins, BI, Trey, and Zion on the court for maximum spacing. That's the kind of scoring we've envisioned for years now.
