It’s wrestling. Cutting weight. This isn’t the hardass football coach from the 60’s withholding water breaks to toughen them up. Let’s not act like cutting weight with dehydration doesn’t happen in wrestling/MMA/Boxing.

Coaches have the opposite approach now. And probably have for at least 10 years.
Safety is first and foremost with every wrestling coach that both of my boys worked with.
If a coach thought you were harming your body to get an edge, you would be cussed out and then benched for weeks.
